The Problem

Trauma activation decisions must be made rapidly and often with incomplete information. Overtriage can strain emergency department, trauma team, and hospital resources, while undertriage may delay recognition of critically injured patients. Despite established activation criteria, significant variation and inefficiency can persist across trauma systems. Triagence AI is being developed to explore whether machine learning can support more consistent, data-driven activation decisions while preserving clinician oversight.

Triagence AI is an early-stage healthcare technology company focused on developing clinical decision support tools for trauma systems. By analyzing factors such as vital signs, mechanism of injury, neurologic status, and patient characteristics, we aim to provide activation support recommendations that help clinicians make informed decisions in time-sensitive environments.

General Surgery resident physician with experience in trauma care, quality improvement, and healthcare innovation. Currently building the clinical, technical, and advisory team to advance product development and pilot partnerships.
